Job Description:
Your Impact in This Role
As a Mechanic, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Qualifications and Requirements
- Maintenance spare parts inventory and order parts as needed
- Perform general preventative maintenance and repairs on facility machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues and pneumatic valves
- Weld, fabricate and patch steel components as needed
- Rig and install motors, conveyor pulleys, and other heavy machinery
- Maintain and back up sorting computer software and parameters
- Complete daily maintenance logs and manage preventative Maintenance programs
- Communicate equipment issues across shifts and support team efforts
- Provide on the job training to new employees and serve as backup for other technicians
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following.
- High School Diploma/GEDpreferred
- Ability to manage time and prioritize effectively
- Team player, able to leadand contribute to a team effort
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Able to work safely and efficiently
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics preferred
- Glass processing knowledge is a plus
