The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is physically active, with lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds. This position supports the Construction team and works with personnel within the department.
Responsibilities
- Support crew with handling and joining water pipe.
- Fit pipe that is ditched or drilled in the ground.
- Ensure every joint meets quality standards.
- Keep tools in complete working order.
- Locate utilities by hand with a shovel and probe.
- Manage inventory on the truck.
- Teach other employees how to join pipe to the correct specs.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- 1 year of water pipeline experience.
Preferred
- 2 or more years of water pipeline experience.
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
