A Day in the Life

As a Laboratory Analyst, in Denver, CO you'll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.

The compensation range for this role is $24.00 to $28.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Schedule: 12pm - 8pm Monday thru Friday. Training will be Monday thru Friday 9am-5pm

To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze samples for metals by ICPMS
  • Review data and assemble reports
  • Calibrate, maintain and repair instrument
  • Prepare standards
  • Maintain reagents and supplies inventory and order replacements
  • Keep workstation clean and organized
  • Mentor Lab Technicians and Analyst I's
  • Performs analyst's review of data and QC
  • Reviews of QA/QC criteria for batch acceptance
  • Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and follow safe work practices
  • Participates in instruments' preventative maintenance and trouble shooting
  • Participates in focus teams to improve efficiency
  • Be flexible in work schedule including overtime when needed
  • React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as prescribed by the Company
  • Compliance with Enthalpy's Quality Assurance Program and other policies

Your Expertise and Skills

These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.

  • BA/BS in science
  • 2+ years of ICP-MS experience in an environmental lab
  • Position requires attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and a desire to work both as part of a team and independently
  • Proficiency using analytical equipment including: balances, pipettes, bottle top dispensers, hot blocks, and volumetric/graduated glassware.
  • Experience with GC-MS or ICP-MS analysis, preferably with Agilent hardware and software (Chemstation/MassHunter). Hands-on instrument maintenance experience is also highly desirable.
  • Handson ICPMS experience preferred - including tuning, optimization, and daily performance checks as well as acid digestion and instrument maintenance
  • Knowledge of analytical methods, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
  • Flexible in work schedule (including Saturday) and able to work overtime
  • Well organized and have an attention to detail
  • Able to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
