Job description

Summary
Provost & Pritchard is looking for a motivated candidate to join our Geostructural team. Our Geostructural division works on wine cave tunnel complexes, private residential tunnels, water-district tunnels and canals, and earth-retention structures.
Duties
Candidates must show an understanding of basic civil engineering principles and be able to apply their knowledge in a practical manner.
  • Perform engineering calculations for tunnel and retaining wall design with the support of and under the direction of a licensed engineer
  • Assist in the preparation of construction drawings using AutoCAD
  • Prepare design reports
  • Perform construction inspections
  • Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by designated personnel

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering
  • 0-3 years of experience preparing engineering calculations and conducting research
  • Experience with AutoCAD; Civil 3D a plus
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Team player with service-oriented (client focused) mentality
  • Motivated self-starter
  • EIT obtained or in progress highly desired
  • Goal to become a licensed professional engineer within 3 years of hire
