SALT AND BOTTLED WATER DELIVERY JOB DESCRIPTION

Douglas Water Conditioning is looking to hire a Technician for the shop along with the ability to deliver also. We are a leader in the water treatment industry with over 50 years of experience specializing in water treatment systems, drinking water systems, bottled water, softener salt, etc., and we are affiliated with Costco. Douglas Water Conditioning has a loyal customer base and we are extremely successful at providing stable careers for our employees and problem free water for our customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create the delivery order for all salt, bottled water, and filter deliveries for the day and provide a copy of the route to the customer service representatives.
  • Deliver salt, bottled water, and filters to residential & commercial customers, ensuring that the customer signs the delivery ticket acknowledging they received their order.
  • Ensure that payment (cash, check, money order, or credit card) is collected at time of delivery. If customer has a house account, obtain signature and confirm billing address.
  • Change pre filters and post filters, when required, when there is a product delivery scheduled.
  • Ensure that the customer's premises is clean after making the delivery ensuring there is no salt or water spillage.
  • Contact customers, when requested, to provide an ETA on their delivery.
  • When deliveries are complete for the day, provide the completed delivery tickets to the CSRs ensuring that the product charges are calculated correctly, the billing address is correct, and/or the customer has signed the delivery ticket.
  • Provide general assistance around the shop when necessary, including administrative and technical tasks.
  • Assist with monthly inventory of stock on delivery trucks.
  • Load and unload stock from delivery trucks, when requested.
  • Clean and maintain company vehicles as needed.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to drive a fork lift
  • Familiarity with hand tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capacity to analyze a situation and prioritize tasks
  • Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Able to lift and carry 40 to 80 pounds on a consistent basis
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Chauffeur's license a plus
  • DOT Medical Card a plus

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
