WAGE/HOUR STATUS:     Non-Exempt                                                                  SALARY RANGE:  $19.20    Min       $27.35  Max



PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Plumber is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all plumbing systems as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Graduate or GED required

Journeyman's license required; may be substituted for irrigation license and or 5 years plumbing experience

Master license preferred

Able to read blueprints and schematics

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Maintain all plumbing systems in good working condition.

    Performs services needed for plumbing such as repairing water leaks, repairing or replacing pipes. equipment, or fixtures.

    Makes minor installations as directed by supervisor.

    Maintains heating equipment in compliance with all Federal-Slate Commission and Insurance requirements.

    Performs irrigation duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Perfoms all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.

    Performs other related duties as assigned. 

EQUIPMFNT USED:

    Districit vehicle, two-way radio, baekhoe, trenching machine, rooter rotor, electric hand tools, and soldering torch .

WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Frequent district travel, strenuous bending, climbing, and walking, working in extreme weather conditions, working on  slippery uneven surfaces, and exposure to toxic fumes and chemicals
