What are Watcher Remote jobs?

Watcher Remote jobs typically involve monitoring systems, networks, or processes from a remote location to ensure they are running smoothly and securely. Responsibilities can include observing data feeds, detecting anomalies, responding to alerts, and sometimes providing reports or escalating issues as needed. These roles are common in fields like IT security, surveillance, and operations support, allowing professionals to work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection. Remote Watchers play a crucial role in maintaining system integrity and preventing downtime or security breaches.

Watcher Remote primarily involves remote monitoring of security systems, requiring certifications in security or surveillance. In contrast, Security Guards work on-site, patrolling and physically securing premises. Both roles serve security purposes but differ significantly in work environment and responsibilities.

How do Watcher Remote professionals typically collaborate with on-site teams to ensure effective monitoring and reporting?

Watcher Remote professionals often work closely with on-site teams through digital communication tools such as video calls, chat platforms, and shared dashboards. Maintaining clear and consistent communication is vital, as real-time updates and rapid escalation of potential issues are often required. Remote watchers must be proactive in providing detailed reports and feedback, ensuring that on-site colleagues are well-informed of any incidents or anomalies. Collaboration typically involves regular check-ins, scheduled status meetings, and the use of centralized monitoring systems to keep everyone aligned.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Watcher Remote, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Watcher (such as a remote security monitor or surveillance operator), you need strong observational skills, attention to detail, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with video surveillance systems, security software, and incident reporting tools is important. Reliability, vigilance, and effective communication are essential soft skills for quickly identifying and escalating potential security issues. These abilities are crucial for maintaining safety, preventing loss, and ensuring timely response to incidents in remote monitoring environments.

Living the ClearPoint Values
We hire and promote against our core values. Even at the entry level, you should be able to talk about how you have lived each of them-from school, internships, prior jobs, sports, volunteer work, anywhere:
  • We Care About The Customer. A time you made someone else look like the hero-where they walked away looking smart because of how you showed up.
  • We Play To Win. A time you held yourself accountable for great work and put your best foot forward, even when nobody was watching.
  • We Are Passionate. A time you worked hard, got stuff done, and still made it fun for the people around you.
  • We Are Exceptionally Open. A time you flagged a problem early, asked the awkward question, or surfaced something uncomfortable instead of letting it sit.
  • We Are Welcoming. A time you helped someone with a different background or perspective feel included and able to do their best work.
Who You Are
  • Hungry: You want the work. You want to learn. You want to be good at this.
  • Humble: You ask questions, you take feedback, and you don't pretend to know things.
  • Decisive: You make sensible decisions despite uncertainty and ambiguity.
  • Resourceful: You create opportunities and can make do with what's available.
  • Adaptable: You can form a point of view, defend it, and adjust when the facts change.
  • AI-fluent or AI-curious: You already use AI in your day-to-day.
  • A clear communicator: You write well, you listen, and you can explain things well.
  • Organized: You can juggle a portfolio of accounts and prioritize without dropping balls.
  • Curious: You read. You poke at the edges. You want to understand why, not just what.

Required Education and Experience
  • Minimum 6 months experience making outbound calls, door-to-door sales, or any relevant sales/cold calling experience

  • Background in strategy and performance management
  • Experience working with customers in local government
