As a leader in Marine Support Services and Emergency Management, we have proudly supported the Department of the Navy since 1964, managing, operating, and maintaining the U.S. Navy fleet in locations such as Norfolk, Philadelphia, Bremerton, California, and Hawaii.

We are seeking a highly motivated Supervisors for a potential projects in Norfolk, VA. This opportunity involves hands-on labor working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced professionals.

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will begin only if and when the company secures the government contract associated with this role.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supervise day-to-day activities of skilled and unskilled laborers/personnel during shipboard hot work, confined space entry, and related repair efforts.
  • Assign watch personnel to specific jobs, monitor performance, and ensure proper coverage per contract and safety requirements.
  • Enforce compliance with NAVSEA Standard Items, OSHA safety regulations, and company policies related to hot work and confined space safety.
  • Conduct pre-task briefings and job hazard analyses for assigned watch teams.
  • Ensure all personnel are properly trained, equipped, and prepared to respond to fire-related or confined space emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate records, including watch logs, fire safety documentation, and confined space entry permits.
  • Coordinate with program/project manager to meet operational schedules and resolve any issues.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or non-compliance immediately and take corrective actions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a supervisor in repair and maintenance efforts onboard U.S. Navy ships
  • High school diploma and/or successful completion of a related trade or industrial school
  • US Citizenship and an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
