Job Description

We are looking for a full time Wastewater Operator to monitor chemical components of production baths and make chemical additions when necessary. Maintain the laboratory and ensure that chemicals are properly labeled and stored. Make sure all chemical tanks and containers and hazardous waste containers are properly labeled and stored. Load and unload chemicals and waste to and from delivery trucks.

Job & Quality Requirements

  • Ensure all chemical tanks, containers and hazardous waste containers are properly labeled and stored. Load and unload chemicals and waste to and from delivery trucks.
  • Ensure all chemicals are within shelf life and manage all paperwork related to hazardous waste.
  • Titration of tanks.
  • Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and processes, including pumps, valves, filters, and chemical feed systems, etc.
  • Monitor wastewater treatment processes, including flow rates, chemical dosages, and treatment performance, and make adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency and compliance.
  • Conduct routine tests and analysis on wastewater samples to assess treatment effectiveness and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance tasks to address equipment malfunctions and ensure uninterrupted operation of the facility.
  • Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including process data, test results, maintenance activities, and chemical usage.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Job Qualifications

  • Read, speak and write English.
  • Lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Operate fork truck and overhead cranes safely.
  • Ability to work well with others as a team member with a positive, can-do attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Grade 3 Industrial Wastewater License required
