Job description

The City of Warren is accepting applications for the position of WWTP Chief Operator. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the employees and operation of the Waste Water Treatment Plant and pumping station. Also develop and implement managerial oversight procedures and documentation for planning, directing and coordinating WWTP operations and preventive maintenance.
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalent.
o Must present ORIGINAL diploma or SEALED transcripts at time of application.
• Seven years of increasing responsibility in a wastewater utility including three years of administrative and supervisor responsibilities (graduation from a college or university of recognized standing with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Computer, Civil Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering shall be considered equivalent to four years of experience).
• Hold a Michigan Class "A" Wastewater Operator's Certificate.
• Successful completion of Supervisory Management in the Water/Wastewater Field Course and Maintenance Management in the Water/Wastewater Field Course through Michigan State University.
• Possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Michigan.
Pay rate: $116,335/year (Flat)
