Theย Water/Wastewater Practice is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer in Portland, OR, Beaverton, OR, or Salem, OR.

The ideal candidate will support the planning and design of municipal (special purpose district and/or city) water and wastewater infrastructure. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer ready to take on increasing responsibilityย inย project delivery, technical problem-solving, and mentorship.

What You'll DoKey Responsibilities:Engineering & Designย 
  • Perform planning and design for water and wastewater infrastructure systemsย ย 
  • Support development of:ย ย 
    • Conveyance and pumping systemsย ย 
    • Storage and distribution systemsย ย 
    • Collection systems and treatment facilitiesย ย 
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, and specificationsย ย 
  • Assistย with permitting and regulatory coordinationย ย 
Project Supportย 
  • Contribute to project delivery including scope, schedule, and budget adherenceย ย 
  • Support task leadership on projects and coordinate with internal teamsย ย 
  • Collaborate with drafters, EITs, and other technical staffย ย 
Growth & Developmentย 
  • Participate in mentorship and development of junior staffย ย 
  • Continue developing technicalย expertiseย and professional skillsย 
  • Contribute to a collaborative environmentย 
  • Participate in professional organizations and industry engagementย 
What You BringRequired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineeringย (or related field); EIT required, PE or ability to obtain preferredย ย 
  • 4-8 years of experience in civil engineering, with exposure to water and wastewater system designย ย 
  • Experience supporting municipal (city and/or special purpose district) water/wastewater projectsย ย 
  • Working knowledge of water/wastewater design principles and engineering fundamentalsย ย 
  • Familiarity with public agency standards, permitting, and regulatory requirementsย ย 
  • Proficiencyย with standard engineering tools (e.g., hydraulic modeling, drafting/design software, Bluebeam, spreadsheets)ย ย 
  • Ability to support design tasks and collaborate effectively within project teamsย ย 
  • Strong communicationย and technical writing skillsย
