Pay: $25.00 - $28.00/hour based on experience and route.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Operate front load refuse collection trucks to service commercial routes by removing and transporting waste or recyclable in fulfillment of customer contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Vehicle In A Safe And Efficient Manner, And Follow Safe Operating Practices Following Aspen's Safety Procedures As Well As Complying With OSHA And DOT Requirements.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service To Aspen's Customers
  • Communicate Promptly With The Supervisor And/Or Dispatch Regarding Any Safety Concerns, Route Disruptions, Maintenance Needs Etc.
  • Performs Daily Pre/Post-Trip Inspections. Complete Daily Route Documentation As Directed.
  • May Be Required To Open Container Enclosures Or Gates To Access Containers/Cans And May Be Required To Move Containers/Cans Into Position For Dumping
  • Maintain Cleanliness Of Truck, Customer Site And Roadways, Ensuring Spills And Debris Are Cleaned Up Promptly.
  • May Clean Waste From The Packer Blade And Truck Body On Each Landfill Run; Ensuring Equipment Operations Will Continue Safely And Productively
  • Navigate Truck Through Congested Communities And Confined Or Tight Spaces. Strong Backing Skills Are Essential.
  • Uses A Map / GPS To Locate Service Addresses

Qualifications And Skills Required:

  • Must Be 21 Years Of Age Or Older
  • Valid Class A Or B Commercial Driver's License With An Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Prefer 2-3 Years Of Experience Operation A Commercial Front Load Truck
  • Previous Experience Driving Refuse Trucks
  • Must Be Able To Obtain And Maintain DOT Medical Certification
  • Exemplary Safe Driving Record
  • Ability To Control Operations Of Equipment; Maneuvering Truck Into And Out Of Minimum Clearance Spaces, Using Mirrors To Back Distances Of Approximately 120 Feet Or More
