Job description

OVERVIEW OF COMPANY AND POSITION

If you want to work for a growing dealership, then Bob Ruth Ford is the place to apply. We have excellent benefits and an amazing team culture.  The Wash Bay Attendant position is responsible for the cleaning of new and used vehicles in support of the sales operation. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!

JOB REQUIREMENTS (REQUIRED)

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including some Saturdays and overtime with approval

JOB REQUIREMENTS (PREFERRED)

  • Ability to drive a vehicle equipped with a manual (standard) and automatic transmission
  • Must be flexible with hours


JOB DUTIES

This position is responsible for exterior washing of new and pre-owned vehicles as assigned. This typically involves washing and performing any combination of following duties:

  • Retrieve and return assigned vehicles according to schedule and/or instructions
  • Wash vehicle using pressure washing equipment, brushes, chemicals and/or other tools according to department standards
  • Vacuum, remove stickers, clean windows, shine tires, wipe plastics, dry vehicles and other tasks as needed, required or assigned
  • Complete work area cleanup, laundry rotation, maintenance tasks or other duties as needed and/or assigned
  • Maintain and protect company-supplied tools and aids including task lighting, razor knives, drying towels/shammies, pressure washer hoses and guns, compressed air hoses and guns along with other items
  • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned, including retrieval and charging of golf carts, cleaning of brushes and buckets and other duties as assigned
  • Maintain assigned schedule and shifts

On a less frequent basis, the Wash Bay Attendant may be assigned other duties as necessary, in support of the day-to-day operation of the dealership, including but not limited to:

  • Processing and wash bay area cleaned and organized
  • Retrieving vehicles purchased at auctions or other sites
  • Delivering vehicles to or retrieving vehicles from various locations on dealership property for various reasons
  • Assisting with dealership facilities maintenance- taking out trash, cleaning spills, etc.
  • Participating in snow removal and related activities
