Job description

Summary:
US Farathane is looking to add a Warranty Manger to our growing Quality team, this role will support our Corporate Tech Center in Auburn Hills
The Warranty Manager is responsible for leading continual improvement in warranty performance. Beginning with data analysis, reporting, processes, and procedures, providing direct customer interface for conducting warranty part reviews, claim investigation, customer warranty systems corrections/updates, customer rating/scoring system corrections/updates, and warranty cost recovery. This position will be a working-level manager with one direct report.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proficient in accessing customer portals, analyzing customer warranty data and root-causing warranty issues. As well as identifying potential corrective / preventive actions for USF and the customer. As necessary, disputing warranty claims with facts and data, and obtaining customer concurrence and cost recovery.
  • Fully versed in tracking OEM customer warranty information, report generation, financial estimate development, and the creation of high-level presentations.
  • Knowledge and use of, Continuous Improvement Process tool CQI-14.
  • Provide monthly warranty debit, disputes, credit updates to Finance for all customers, based on customer warranty agreements, terms and conditions, specific issues, and statistical forecasts.
  • Maintain and act as point of contact for all assigned customer warranty databases.
  • Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Comply with the designated ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 responsibilities, Health & Safety (H&S) rules and practices.

Qualifications:
  • Five to ten years of subject matter experience.
  • Minimum five years' experience in the automotive industry.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, advanced computer, and analytical skills.
  • Five years' minimum experience leading and supervising others.
