Job description

Warehouse Associate/Lift Truck Operator - 2nd/3rd Shift

Shaw Industries is looking for Forklift/Reach Truck Operators and Warehouse Associates for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities in the Port Wentworth and Rincon area.

Starting pay is $19.16 -21.64/hr. LTO II associates have the opportunity to progress at 6 months to $22.53/hr and 1 year to $24.07/hr.

Hours available for this position are:

  • 2nd shift hours are Monday - Friday 3pm-11pm
  • 3rd shift hours are Monday - Friday 11pm - 7am.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving a pull task with information on the flooring material to be pulled and retrieving the correct material with a lift truck.
  • Transporting a pallet by fork lift to and from location.
  • Transport flooring material from trailers to storage location, and from storage location to the customer or Shaw trucks for shipping.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Responsible for reporting unsafe storage areas (leaning pallets, damaged walls, etc.) and unsafe working conditions to Supervisors.
  • Read, write and comprehend shipping documents, bin locations, and store orders.
  • Tape and repair any damaged packaging. Maintain clean and tidy workspaces.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 51lbs repetitively is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • *Must be able to attend training on 1st Shift for the first two weeks of employment.
