Job description

Summary:

Responsible for receiving and processing incoming products, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders and managing stock within assigned department.  

 

Duties:

  • Accurately pick parts.
  • Weigh product using the proper scales.
  • Check part numbers and quantities with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Accurately pack orders into shipping cartons, verifying all components of the order are accounted for the correct customer.
  • Responsible for reading customer order notes and filling the order with any special customer requirements.
  • Unload freight and check in product.
  • Stock parts in the proper location.
  • Maintain stock and shipping supplies.
  • Assist in counting physical inventory; perform inventory audits as needed.
  • Notify Department Lead or Department Supervisor of any stock shelf issues.
  • Report defective materials/product, shortages and/or questionable conditions to the Lead or Supervisor.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Follow all safety rules.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Similar job experience preferred.

RF handheld experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on level surfaces for a prolonged period. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above should height and below the waist. The employee must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. 70% of the day and up to 65 lbs. 30% of the day.
