Job description

The Opportunity

As Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll lead the flow of donated goods so they move efficiently from intake to the places they do the most good. You’ll oversee receiving, sorting, assessment, processing, and distribution to St. Vincent de Paul retail outlets and programs, while upholding quality, safety, and respect for every person involved.
Key responsibilities include supervising warehouse sorters, drivers, and volunteers; coordinating dock-to-distribution movement; maintaining operational systems, records, and inventory tools; and directing items to resale, recycling, or disposal.
Required qualifications/skills:
- 1–2 years in operations/logistics/warehouse/retail/nonprofit administration (preferred)
- 1–2 years leading staff and/or volunteers (preferred)
- Strong computer/technology proficiency
- Forklift certification (or obtain within 90 days)
- Valid chauffeur’s license (or obtain within 90 days) with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently; up to 75 lbs with assistance
Apply to help turn generosity into tangible support for our neighbors.

A Day on the Dock

You start by checking what’s arriving and what needs to move out, then set clear priorities so the warehouse stays orderly and responsive. Throughout the day you balance quick decisions with careful judgment—walking the floor, answering questions from volunteers, and adjusting the plan when donations surge or a truck schedule shifts. You’ll spend time in a public-facing environment, keeping communication steady and calm, and you’ll wrap up by confirming documentation is complete and the space is ready for the next day’s work.

Support That Matters

Medical, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; Health Savings Account (HSA); Paid Time Off; paid meals; and employee discounts.
