Job description

Arcosa Aggregates is searching for a Warehouse Associate for our Ferris, TX plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture staff within an aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Warehouse Associate, you will select, order, pack and ship, PM filter kits together, deliver, put inventory away, and count inventory.

Day to Day

  • Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
  • Job duties include, but not limited to, picking, ordering, shipping and packing orders, putting PM filter kits together, putting inventory away, counting inventory, and overall, keeping and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse work area.
  • Verifies quantity and condition of materials received.
  • Pick and pull some products that need to be kitted
  • Prepares and packages materials for outbound shipments.
  • Work off orders or spread sheets to put kits together
  • Use basic use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to function as a team member, to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

About You

  • Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Be detailed oriented and well organized
  • Self-motivated positively by working independently, however demonstrate eagerness to participate with being part of a team setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be proficient in Microsoft office suite and relevant software packages
  • Able to lift up to 80 pounds
  • Valid driver license
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, for an extended period
  • The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
  • Basic knowledge of heavy mobile equipment and maintenance
  • Basic math skills are vital for purposes of accuracy
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Working Conditions
While most areas have air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
