Job description

Shipping/Receiving/Stockroom Clerk 48430
7am-3:30pm weekdays


Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of incoming and outgoing shipments as well as stockroom inventory control. This role ensures accurate documentation, timely deliveries, timely receipts, and proper handling of goods to maintain inventory integrity and support smooth logistical operations.


  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory using the company ERP system
  • Coordinate with carriers and vendors for pickups, deliveries, and freight scheduling
  • Submit foreign shipment documentation on the U.S. Customs portal
  • Organize and store received items in designated stockroom locations
  • Stockroom control: allocate inventory to proper departments, maintaining proper documentation of transactions
  • Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies, damages, or low stock
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, shipping laws, and company policies
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits


Qualifications

  • 2+ Years Shipping/Receiving experience in a manufacturing environment, including use of freight company portals and U.S. Customs portal, is preferred
  • Good computer skills required. Email, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
  • Experience with a computerized ERP system such as Odoo, NetSuite, Sage, etc.
  • Willingness to be flexible and assist with many duties within various departments if necessary
