Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for safe, accurate, and efficient shipping and receiving operations that support daily inbound and outbound activity.
This role coordinates the movement, storage, and routing of trucks and trailers; supports yard, warehouse, and scale house operations; and reinforces safety, compliance, and service standards for drivers, carriers, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
Process shipping and receiving transactions accurately and on time using systems such as Vector and SAP.
Coordinate inbound and outbound truck activity to ensure trailers are routed to the correct locations.
Maintain dock schedules in systems such as Vector, DAS, and Open Dock.
Communicate professionally with internal teams, drivers, and carriers to support efficient yard and warehouse operations.
Monitor and verify traffic entering and exiting the scale house, including visitors, parcel carriers, and box trucks.
Prepare bills of lading and other shipping documentation as needed.
Follow and promote compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and site procedures.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to maintain service levels, accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Outlook, and Excel.
Experience with MRP/ERP systems preferred; SAP experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to work additional hours or changing schedules as needed.
Commitment to safety, quality, GMPs, proper PPE use, and good housekeeping practices.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including shifts of up to 12 hours.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds with reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions for extended periods when required.
Ability to work under pressure.
Willingness to support other departments and operational needs as assigned.

The salary range for this full-time position is $22.25 - $28.75, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
