Job description

Job Summary

Primary job responsibilities are to Ship-Receive and stock parts and equipment. Enter, process and ship orders. Assist customers via telephone, e-mail, or walk in and provide excellent customer service at the Service Counter.

Activities & Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Primary

•Pick, pack, and process orders. Do so manually and with wireless and/or desktop computer

•Receive incoming shipments by sorting physical merchandise and entering into computer

•Stock all items on shelf or in staged orders

•Operate forklift and order picker to load or unload trucks, or to stock shelves and move merchandise

•Ship orders using FedEx, UPS, GSO, England Transportation platforms

•Greet customers at the service counter

•Fulfill service counter sales, will calls, and phone orders

•Participate in daily cycle counts and the overall accuracy of inventory

•Create and maintain customer relationships

•Other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned by manager in support of SHC’s businessobjectives.

Supplementary

•Customer service and support of outside sales people with customer needs

•Contributes to warehouse cleanliness and overall organization

•Minor repairs as assigned throughout facility

•Assist in training of new employees

Minimum Qualifications

Education

•High School diploma

•Driver’s License required

•Fork Lift Certification preferred

Experience

•1-2 years experience in fuel system product/industry knowledge helpful

•Experience in warehouse sales and customer service

•Experience in fork lift operation

Skills

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Punctual and dependable

•Attention to detail and accuracy

•Organizing and prioritizing

•Ability to work independently and with others

•Ability to meet deadlines

•Physical, mental or visual/hearing capabilities

Work Environment

•Indoor setting with moderate noise level

•Frequent sitting, standing and walking

•Repetitive use of computer, keyboard, mouse, and phone

•Reading, comprehending, writing, performing calculations, communicating orally, reasoning and analyzing

•Use hands to finger, handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.

•Must be able to lift 75 lbs

•Travel as needed to other locations.
