Job description

Burns Environmental Services is looking for a hard-working and dedicated individual that will perform an array of functions that include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from inventory, picking up and delivering materials and equipment to sites, and managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and unloading trucks, checking in materials and equipment.
  • Pulling materials and equipment for use.
  • Sorting and placing materials and equipment on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
  • Maintains inventory controls by recording amounts of materials available and/or items received. May also assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat - sweeping/dusting/mopping as appropriate. Organize warehouse and work areas for orderliness at all times.
  • Data entry into inventory system.
  • Assist with some mechanical repairs (training will be provided)


What Makes a Good Candidate:

  • 2+ years warehouse experience
  • Dependable and reliable work ethic
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Valid driver's license with clean DMV record
  • Must be able to work flexible days and hours
  • Good communication, organizational, time management skills
  • Mathematical abilities
  • Customer Service approach to work environment


Physical demands and abilities:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to operate equipment and/or tools that require manual dexterity
  • Position requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling and crouching, at times for extended periods.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb a ladder and push heavy, large objects.
