Job description

The Rough Fab Assembler (RFA) is responsible for assembling equipment in preparation for wiring, testing, and final assembly.  The RFA will fulfill many roles within the process of assembling electronics equipment.  The RFA will assemble off-the-shelf OEM equipment and will integrate custom panels and custom brackets to create unique assemblies per project needs.  The RFA will receive shipments, distribute parts, organize parts by project, ship assemblies, maintain warehouse, maintain tools and equipment used in the process, and fulfill any other tasks as required by supervisors and management.


Rough Fab Job Duties & Responsibilities

Read and understand assembly drawings

Ensure that all required parts for assembly are available

Mark cutting lines and drilling holes on materials

Confirm proper fitting and alignment of materials to be assembled

Maintain production schedule

Maintain clean and organized work area

Clean and maintain tools

Assemble parts in equipment racks

Prepare packaged assemblies for shipment

Receive packages

Load and ship packages and assemblies

Obey safety requirements

Requirements

Proven work experience as a Fabricator

Good dexterity

Attention to detail

Good organizational skills

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Clean work area and warehouse

Driver’s license with clean driving record

Physical stamina

Ability to read and comprehend assembly drawings

Proficiency with operating the following hand tools:

  1. Drill
  2. Screw Gun
  3. Circular Saw
  4. Jigsaw

Ability to operate a Fork Lift

Good interpersonal skills
