Job description

Contract Warehouse Associate

We are seeking Contract Warehouse Associates for an immediate project need. The Contract Warehouse Associate manually moves stock and other materials as well as performs general labor as needed related to the operations of the Warehouse. This position is contract and is anticipated to last 1 to 4 months.

Education/Experience: High school diploma (or equivalency) plus at least 2 years of practical experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Move stock or other materials to and from storage, production areas, loading docks and delivery vehicles by hand trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
  • Support all shipping / receiving needs.
  • Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
  • Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
  • Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
  • Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
  • Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
  • Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.

Detailed Work Activities:

  • Clean facilities or work areas.
  • Schedule pickup / shipment with various carriers.
  • Load shipments, belongings, or materials.
  • Mark materials or objects for identification.
  • Monitor cargo area conditions.
  • Move materials, equipment, or supplies.
  • Operate packing or other material processing equipment.
  • Package materials or products.
  • Receive information or instructions for performing work assignments.
  • Sort materials or objects for processing or transport.

Qualifications:
