Job description

Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate is responsible for a variety of general warehouse duties, including pulling, packing, and sorting items for shipping and receiving. This role involves receiving, storing, and distributing products within the Sales Center. Key responsibilities include collecting and sorting products for customer orders, preparing them for shipping, pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished products.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
Order Processing and Fulfillment:
  • Accurately pull, fill, pack, and set up orders for delivery or pickup.
  • Assemble customer orders and prepare them for shipping or pickup.
  • Organize and prioritize shipments for various carriers and job sites, staging orders for easy loading and verification.
  • Read and process customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions.
Shipping and Receiving:
  • Assist in shipping and receiving, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders.
  • Load trucks safely and ensure products arrive in good condition.
  • Prepare parcels for mailing.
Inventory Management:
  • Move inventory to designated warehouse spaces and maintain an organized environment.
  • Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences.
  • Mark materials with identifying information.
  • Assist in physical inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies.
Warehouse Maintenance and Safety:
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, following established safety procedures.
  • Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for employees and customers.
  • Perform facilities maintenance duties as needed.
  • Sweep, dust, and mop the warehouse.
  • Wear proper safety equipment.
Communication and Coordination:
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, sales staff, coworkers, and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
Driving and Delivery:
  • Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles and trucks.
  • Perform light assembly duties as needed.
  • Follow established standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous warehouse or shipping dock work experience is preferred
Essential Mental/Physical Functions:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to lift 50 – 75 lbs pounds safely .
  • Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods.
  • Work environment may be hot or cold depending on weather.
