Job description

Job Title:  Installation Technician

Position Summary

The role of Installation Technician will mainly be specializing in the installation of warehouse racking systems. This role is primarily focused on structural steel and roll-formed pallet racking installations, mezzanine structures, modular offices, shelving, wire partitions, guard rail, and other solutions supporting projects across a variety of warehouse and distribution environments.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and experienced in working with hand and power tools in an industrial setting.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Install warehouse racking systems including: 
     
    • Selective pallet rack 
    • Drive-in / drive-thru rack 
    • Push-back rack 
    • Pallet flow and case flow systems 
    • Pallet Shuttle Systems
    • Mezzanine structures
    • Modular Offices
    • Shelving
    • Wire Partitions
    • Guard Rail
    • Others
  • Read and interpret layout drawings, blueprints, and installation plans 
  • Assemble and anchor components to concrete floors per specifications 
  • Measure, level, and align systems to ensure structural accuracy and safety compliance 
  • Operate power tools, lifts, and other installation equipment safely 
  • Work at heights using scissor lifts, boom lifts, and ladders 
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site 
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and team members 
  • Identify and report field issues, damages, or discrepancies in materials 
  • Assist with loading/unloading materials and staging for installation 
  • Drive company owned trucks, boxtrucks, and trailers
 
Preferred Experience

  • Experience installing pallet racking or similar industrial systems 
  • Familiarity with warehouse environments and distribution operations 
  • Experience using aerial lifts (scissor lift, boom lift) 
  • Ability to read construction drawings and layout plans 
  • Basic knowledge of anchoring systems and concrete fastening 
 
Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude 
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment 
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly 
  • Comfortable working at heights (up to 30+ feet) 
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites 
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety 
  • Ability to work as part of a team in fast-paced environments 
 
Work Environment

  • Warehouse and distribution center settings (both indoor and outdoor) 
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and industrial conditions 
  • Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and climbing 
  • Travel may be required depending on project location 
 
Certifications (Preferred but Not Required)

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 
  • Forklift certification 
  • Aerial lift certification
