Job description

About the Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service and accuracy. This role performs essential tasks such as material handling, order fulfillment, and inventory control in a high-volume environment. Warehouse Associates are expected to follow established procedures, uphold safety and quality standards, and actively contribute to a clean and efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick, pack, and ship materials in alignment with customer expectations and order requirements.
  • Load and unload truck orders while following safety protocols and material handling best practices.
  • Store materials properly within designated warehouse racking and storage locations.
  • Complete routine and accurate cycle count to support inventory integrity.
  • Receive, inspect, and put away incoming materials promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse and yard environment.
  • Operate forklifts and related warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Provide support to other co-op locations by driving and assisting when required

Qualifications:

  • Forklift and warehouse experience preferred
  • Prior forklift certification a strong plus
  • Valid drivers' license required for business travel between locations 
  • Experience loading flatbed trailers preferred
  • Basic computer skills to include Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees within and outside the organization

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, sit, bend, pull, twist, push, and pull for sustained periods of time
  • Able to operate a computer and other office machinery using finger dexterity for typing and writing
  • Must be able to communicate, converse with, and exchange information by means of the spoken word
  • Able to perform physical effort to lift or move materials up to 50 pounds
  • Visual acuity to view a computer screen
  • Must be able to work in outdoor areas, subject to the elements
