Position Summary

MOC Products Group is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control / Purchasing Accounting Assistant to support our Purchasing Manager, Accounting Department, and Warehouse Managers with daily inventory, purchasing, and receiving-related functions.

This position is accounting-related, but the primary focus will be inventory accuracy, purchase order support, receiving, ERP posting, warehouse communication, and inventory reconciliation. The ideal candidate will be organized, accurate, comfortable working in systems, and able to communicate well across purchasing, warehouse, accounting, and management teams.

Essential Job Functions

  • Review incoming purchase orders, vendor shipments, and receiving documentation for accuracy.
  • Post and receive orders in the company’s ERP/accounting system.
  • Assist the Purchasing Manager with order tracking, vendor documentation, and purchasing records.
  • Work with Warehouse Managers to help resolve receiving discrepancies, inventory variances, and product issues.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory records across company systems.
  • Assist with reconciliation of inventory-related transactions and reports.
  • Review open purchase orders, backorders, and receiving reports as needed.
  • Support periodic physical inventory counts, including preparation, counting, documentation, and follow-up reconciliation.
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding inventory, purchasing, and receiving questions.
  • Organize and maintain purchasing, receiving, and inventory documentation.
  • Assist with special projects depending on daily business needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree or coursework in accounting, business, logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in administrative support, accounting, inventory, purchasing, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems preferred.
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet routine deadlines and follow established processes.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity.
