Warehouse Associate / Inventory Specialist

Oakwood Veneer Company – Troy, MI

Oakwood Veneer Company is hiring an experienced Warehouse Associate / Inventory Specialist for our Troy, MI warehouse. This is a full-time Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM position offering steady daytime hours, paid training, benefits, a weekly attendance bonus, and overtime opportunities.

We are looking for an experienced warehouse professional with strong inventory control, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, and material handling skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating a sit-down forklift / Hi-Lo and has experience maintaining accurate inventory in a busy warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Manage daily warehouse and inventory activities including receiving materials, verifying quantities, picking and staging customer orders, shipping, inventory transactions, cycle counts, and resolving inventory discrepancies. Operate a sit-down forklift / Hi-Lo to safely move materials, load and unload trailers, and stage inventory. Maintain accurate product locations and inventory records while keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications
  • 18+ months warehouse experience with inventory, shipping/receiving, or material handling
  • Strong inventory control and inventory accuracy skills
  • Intermediate to advanced sit-down forklift / Hi-Lo experience
  • Experience loading and unloading trailers
  • Ability to perform inventory transactions, counts, and discrepancy research
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 60–70 lbs.
  • Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and strong safety awareness

Cycle counting, order picking, lumber, woodworking, manufacturing, or distribution is a plus but not required.

Pay & Benefits

$40 weekly attendance bonus starting immediately, medical/dental/vision after 90 days, 401(k) with company match after one year, tuition assistance after 90 days, paid training, overtime opportunities, and long-term career growth.
