Job description

Description
As Production Associate, you will join a team of dedicated employees who utilize high-quality standards and solid techniques to ensure a product is delivered to our customers on a timely basis. Responsibilities include keeping the production area clean, preparing machinery and equipment for use, working the production line as instructed, and following all health and safety guidelines.
To be successful, you should be able to work with consistent speed and accuracy, while maintaining production standards and working towards improved productivity without compromising safety or quality. Flexibility and adaptability is key in this position as we flex our talent to volume demand. This full-time position will report to the Production Supe rvisor at our Safco Products location in Milford, Iowa.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor.
  • Assembling products and parts.
  • Keep a record of work orders.
  • Loading raw parts and unloading finished product from Paint Line.
  • Following production guidelines and specifications.
  • Evaluate the quality of end products.
  • Finalizing and packaging products for shipment.
  • Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment.
  • Working on the production line and meeting production targets.
  • Reporting any issues to the Supervisor or Group Lead.
  • Following health and safety standards.
  • Work in a safe manner with an eye toward quality.
  • May also be required to support other departments.
  • Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION , EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred but not required

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
  • Experience in a wood / metal manufacturing plant a plus
  • Prior work experience with JDE/Oracle in a manufacturing environment a plus

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting pay rate for this position is $ 18.50 per hour. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
