Job description

The Warehouse Pick and Pack Associate is a role that operates within the GOVX Fulfillment Center (GXFC) located in La Vergne, TN. This position is responsible for preparing and shipping orders to customers in a timely and accurate manner. The associate will use a handheld scanner to locate, pick and pack the items from the warehouse shelves, and then label and load them for delivery. The associate will also perform inventory checks, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and report any issues to the supervisor.
This position's work assignments and tasks can change daily based on the immediate needs of GXFC.
Position Type & Expected Hours of Work
  • This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 1-hour lunch.
  • Occasional Weekday overtime may be required depending on work volume.

Responsibilities
  • Pick and pack orders according to GXFC specifications and quality standards.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of each order before shipping.
  • Use a handheld scanner to scan barcodes and track inventory.
  • Label and load packages in preparation for carrier pickup.
  • Follow safety rules and procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment.
  • Keep the warehouse organized and clean; report any damage or hazards to the supervisor.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Working ConditionsThis job operates in a professional environment subject to state and local health ordinances. This role routinely uses warehouse equipment such as computers, scanners, pallet jacks, and U-boats.
