Job description

Air Engineers is seeking a Warehouse Associate responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient handling, storage, and shipping of HVAC products. This role includes receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and managing inventory. Must be able to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Receiving: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or packing lists. Report any discrepancies or damages. – Very important we verify orders
  • Stocking: Organize and store products in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and tracking.
  • Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping. Ensure that products are packed securely and labeled correctly.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of stock levels and report any shortages or discrepancies on stock levels and inbound shipments.
  • Shipping: Prepare shipping documentation, coordinate with shipping carriers, and ensure timely dispatch of orders.
  • Safety: Follow all safety protocols and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damage before shipping. Ensure that all outbound shipments meet quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff, sales teams, and management to coordinate and optimize warehouse operations.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred, not required.

Minimum Experience: Previous experience in warehouse environment is desirable, preferably in HVAC distribution or related industry.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using a warehouse management system (WMS)
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy

Working Conditions:

Work is normally performed in a warehouse environment or exterior storage yard/lot with some exposure to physical risk.
