Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate receives, inspects, processes, packs, and ships materials while maintaining accurate records and following quality, safety, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Receiving

  • Receive, log, and scan purchase orders into the company system.
  • Compare packing slips and purchase orders to verify item numbers, descriptions, and quantities.
  • Count materials using hand counts, scales, weight calculations, and other approved methods.
  • Process inbound Bills of Lading and Safety Data Sheets, as applicable.
  • Identify manufacturer lot numbers and assign container identification numbers.
  • Place materials in designated inventory locations.
  • Report and process damaged, missing, incorrect, or nonconforming materials.

Packing

  • Review sales orders, work instructions, and customer requirements.
  • Select appropriate packaging materials and methods for small parcels, freight, and specialized products.
  • Apply and verify required labels.
  • Properly handle and package Electrostatic Discharge-sensitive materials.
  • Locate manufacturer Safety Data Sheets using approved online and ISO resources.
  • Verify Export Control Classification Numbers for applicable export orders.
  • Safely operate banding machines, freight scales, automatic wrappers, box cutters, band saws, power drills, panel saws, and related equipment.

Shipping

  • Create shipments, generate documents, update order statuses, and enter applicable fees in Dynatech systems.
  • Prepare domestic and international shipments using FedEx, UPS, and other approved carriers.
  • Process parcel, express, freight, and limited-quantity shipments.
  • Verify addresses, service levels, carrier information, and documentation before release.
  • Process and document drop shipments.

General Duties

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
  • Follow Company safety, quality, security, export-control, and ISO procedures.
  • Assist with inventory counts, material movement, and warehouse organization.
  • Protect products from damage, loss, contamination, and improper handling.
  • Communicate discrepancies, safety concerns, and operational issues to management.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse, Quality, Procurement, Sales, and other departments.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous warehouse, receiving, packing, shipping, inventory, or material-handling experience preferred.
  • Experience with carrier, inventory, or warehouse-management systems preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to interpret purchase orders, sales orders, packing slips, labels, and work instructions.
