The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing of the branch warehouse and delivery operations, including collaborative working relationships with the sales team, customer service and headquarters, to maximize resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, and economic goals.(This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)

Essential Position Functions:

  • Plans, organizes, and directs all daily activities of branch warehouse and delivery personnel to ensure standards of performance are maintained.
  • Interface daily with branch management and external customers.
  • Review and analyze ongoing branch personnel performance results and take corrective measures as needed.
  • Evaluate, develop, improve, and implement procedures and practices.
  • Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively.
  • Build a team environment to accomplish goals.
  • Ensures branch operations comply with federal, state, local and company policies.
  • Keep Operations Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with sales, customer service and headquarters personnel.
  • Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business, or related field of study or equivalent years of experience preferred.
  • 5+ years’ operational, logistics and/or distribution experience (minimum 3 years at supervisory or management level).
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations.
  • Ability to handle stress related to demands of internal and external customers.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, preferred.
  • Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
  • Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
