Warehouse General Laborer - Decatur, IL
This is a full-time, hourly level position.
Position Summary:
We have -an opening at facility in Decatur, IL for -a Warehouse General Laborer.-
Job Responsibilities:
  • Safely and efficiently work with loaders and unloaders to position product where needed
  • Perform various warehouse duties
  • Stage orders to outbound shipments
  • Periodically operate a forklift
  • Housekeeping duties
  • Assist with damage control
  • Organize pallets
  • Report all injuries, illnesses, near misses, damage or other issues timely
Job Requirements
  • Actively participate in all ADM required Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance programs
  • Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents
  • Safely operate forklift to arrange product within the warehouse
  • Pulling orders per customer requests, including palletizing bags and preparing the pallet for shipment. Must be done in such a way as to reduce the chance of damage in transit
  • Accurately fill orders and document lot numbers for each bag and each product.
  • Shrink wrap and stage orders for shipment
  • Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending upon identified needs of the operations
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Assist in maintaining the housekeeping program (cleaning), including required written documentation
  • Filtering face piece respirator may be required for certain tasks
  • Assist in efficient warehousing and organization of products.
  • Attempt to keep products clear of dust, debris, and safe stacking of pallets is required.
  • Assist in light maintenance which may include using ladders, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Promote the ADM Way and core Values
  • Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and Holidays
Physical Requirements
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs
  • Must be able to repetitively lift 50 pound bags when pulling orders or working damage control
