JOB SUMMARY (Day-in-the-Life)
The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations by ensuring materials and products are organized, handled safely, and prepared accurately for delivery and installer pick-up. This position reports to the Operations Manager and is based at the New Berlin distribution center. Responsibilities include maintaining an organized warehouse environment, assisting with inventory management, and supporting order fulfillment processes. This is a full-time, first-shift position, Monday through Friday. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks on a regular basis. This position also provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations within the construction industry.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review customer, installation, and shipping orders to accurately determine materials to be picked, staged, and distributed.
  • Move materials between receiving, storage, staging, and shipping areas using proper handling techniques and equipment.
  • Pick, verify, and stage will-call and delivery orders, assisting customers with loading as needed.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently while maintaining product integrity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment to support efficient operations.
  • Assist with inventory organization and material flow to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Follow and adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate company vehicles for material delivery as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to support daily operational goals.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in warehouse, construction, landscaping, manufacturing, or a related environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis without restriction.
  • Basic computer skills for shipping, receiving, or order processing functions.
  • Ability to read and write basic English and perform simple mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, and number sequencing).
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to meet company motor vehicle record standards.

Preferred Qualifications (nice-to-haves)
  • Previous experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes or warehouse systems.
  • Prior on-the-job driving experience.
