$17 per hour plus Performance Incentive


PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position will be actively involved in order selection, staging, and loading of merchandise for the following day's deliveries. In addition, this position may perform dayshift activities as needed.


Typical Full Time Schedule: Monday - Thursday 1:30pm - close (10-12 hour shifts; end time varies nightly)

KEY ACTIVITIES

Warehouse Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an efficient quality and productivity standard established by Supervisor;
  • Responsible for accurately reading orders, picking products from warehouse location, and ensuring proper building of pallets of product for next day delivery;
  • Participate in the control of damage and minimization of product loss;
  • Responsible for the proper wrapping, blocking, and loading of assigned nightly routes;
  • Removal of all shrink wrap from picking pallets; Neatly stack all empty pallets;
  • Advocate for a positive workplace environment;
  • Participate in practical application of safety and maintenance polices as they apply to company operations; and
  • Stay within Company set standards on minimum cases per hour picked with appropriate speed and accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Company Duties:

  • Adheres to Company policies and procedures;
  • Adheres to all applicable Federal, state, and local regulations regarding the warehousing of alcoholic beverages; and
  • Does not abuse equipment and maintain company property such as company vehicles and equipment.

  • Maintain appropriate dress and appearance per Company standards;
  • Displays effective interpersonal communication (supplier, employee, customer);
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in all areas of responsibility to ensure quality of work;
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships ; and
  • Shows sound judgment, decision-making, and accountability.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
  • Previous warehouse experience a plus.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)

  • General understanding of warehouse logistics, material handling, or equivalent experience;
  • Ability to lift/carry/move 35 lbs. (maximum of 160 lbs.);
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (including bending, reaching, lifting, pulling, etc.);
  • Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, and scissor lift;
  • Ability to become familiar with warehouse lay-out, product location set-up, and product rotation;
  • Demonstrates positive team dynamics and productive communication skills through work history;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, other governmental agencies, and the general public as required;
  • Ability to communicate effectively;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and handle wide range of tasks; and
  • Understand and effectively communicate Summit Beverage's organizational mission and goals.

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


  • Seeing: Must be able to read bin location labels, product descriptions, read off tablet and handheld devices. 75-100% of the time
  • Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with fellow employees, hear voice pick commands. Must be able to hear horn/alarms while in warehouse. 75-100% of the time
  • Standing/Walking: 75-100% of the time
  • Sitting at Desk / Sitting while driving: 0-24% of the time
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 75-100% of the time
  • Lifting/Pushing/Pulling (Lift approx. 35-55lbs repetitively up to 165lbs occasionally (keg)): 75-100% of the time
  • Grasping/Feeling/Hand Dexterity: 75-100% of the time
  • Driving & Travel: 0-24% of the time

Working Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat wet and/or humid conditions while working outside of the warehouse, but on Summit campus. Employees are exposed to continual movement and vibration while using powered industrial equipment. The employee consistently works near moving mechanical equipment,
