    Primary Responsibilities

    The Associate, Warehouse Operations IV is responsible for accurate, efficient, and proper receiving and preparation of shipments to our customers in the distribution warehouse. Responsibilities include forklift operation, receiving, stowing, picking, packing, shipping, inventory management of products to meet KeHE's customer's needs. The Associate, Warehouse Operations IV will be cross trained in three or more process path (departments) reporting to an Operations Supervisor who will provide direction to meet the department and customer's needs. The position will require the use of more than three pieces of lift equipment to accomplish tasks assigned. In this role you will have the opportunity for additional process support leadership training to build your skills at KeHE.

     

    Minimum Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED required,
    • Requires availability to work weekends, holidays, dayshift and overnight schedules

     

    Essential Functions

    Essential Functions

    • Must maintain attendance in accordance with policies.
    • Maintain safe work practices in the warehouse.
    • Maintain safeguards of confidential warehouse company information.
    • Match product description with label description.
    • Build pallets within the warehouse according to customer guidelines.
    • Maintain production standards, while minimizing errors.
    • Other warehouse duties and special projects as requested.
      • Support of new hires in the department
      • Support of employees in the warehouse
      • Cross training to assist the department performance
      • Working closely with supervisor and management to accomplish duties

    Additional Skills, Qualifications, and Aptitude:

    • 4+ years of experience in a food distribution or warehouse atmosphere preferred.
    • 4+ years of experience operating 3+ powered warehouse industrial equipment
      • Forklift(s), pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.
    • Associates will be cross trained in 3+ process paths and have exposure to complex tasks within the warehouse.
    • Associates will assist with daily activities including forklift operation, receiving, stowing, picking, packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation of products to meet KeHE's customers' needs.
    • Must have the ability to communicate well with internal customers and management.
    • Must have the ability to follow safe warehouse working practices, as instructed
    • Must have the ability to efficiently work independent of direct supervision within the warehouse.
    • A qualified candidate monitors the safety and security of goods and materials.
    • Utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS) and other systems to track performance.
    • Has demonstrated full proficiency in multiple critical warehouse departments and works under moderate supervision

    Physical Requirements:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential warehouse functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to lift, move, and carry 30-40 pounds repetitively upwards of 1,000 times per day. Must be able to lift, move, and carry larger items up to 75 pounds less frequently. The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, climb and sit at times in the warehouse. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. {Freezer temperatures: -10 degrees) | Refrigerator temperature 25-35 degrees}.  The associate is also exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise levels in the warehouse work environment are typically low to moderate.
