About the Role
Join a dynamic warehouse team as a Forklift Operator in Covington, GA! As an Operator 2, you'll play a key part in efficient warehouse operations, utilizing material handling equipment to move goods and support daily logistics. This contractor position offers consistent weekday hours and the chance to develop valuable skills in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (cranes, conveyers, handcarts, power trucks) to move, load, and unload products and materials
- Accurately maintain records of inventory movement and warehouse transactions
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to strict quality guidelines
- Assist with general warehouse duties including material handling, stocking, and order fulfillment
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure safety and functionality
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and resolve issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, complying with all safety regulations
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field
- Valid forklift certification and proven proficiency in forklift operation
