Job description

Position Summary:

South Country Co-op is hiring a Agro Clerk (Warehouse), to join our team at Cypress Agro Centre in Cypress County, AB. If you're passionate about providing exceptional customer experiences, we'd love to hear from you!

Reporting to the Agribusiness Manager, the Agro Clerk (Warehouse)  plays a vital role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include assisting customers, loading products, handling inventory, shipping/receiving, and upholding housekeeping standards, all while ensuring a safe, organized, and professional warehouse environment. This position requires a positive attitude, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs
  • Assist with loading products and locating items in the warehouse
  • Perform stocking, pricing, and inventory control
  • Assist with shipping and receiving procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of products and materials
  • Support adherence to asset protection and loss prevention procedures
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts or skid steers (if certified or trained)
  • Uphold South Country Co-op's standards for safety, teamwork, and service excellence
  • Educate customers on the benefits of membership in South Country Co-op 
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age and completed Grade 9
  • Experience in a warehouse or agricultural setting is an asset
  • Must be physically able to lift over 55 lbs. regularly
  • Forklift and skid steer experience considered an asset
  • Mechanically inclined individuals are encouraged to apply
  • Comfortable working in outdoor and extreme weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and systems
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of integrity, dependability, and professionalism
  • Proven ability to work independently or as part of a diverse team
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow

Work Schedule:

This position requires availability from Monday to Friday 8am-5pm and Saturday 9am-4pm
