Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), handheld scanners, and pallet jacks is useful but not always required for entry-level positions. Job description

Production Worker III
Location: Bellevue, Washington
Pay Rate: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
Position Overview
Our client, an established production and facilities organization, is seeking an experienced Production Worker for an onsite, three-month contract engagement in Bellevue, Washington. This is a senior production role for someone with real line experience who can run equipment competently and support less experienced operators.
The position suits a dependable production professional who takes pride in safe, consistent output and clean documentation. It offers steady hands-on work within an established operation and a clearly defined engagement period.
Key Responsibilities
You will operate production equipment safely and efficiently on an assigned line, performing setup, startup, and shutdown procedures, monitoring equipment performance throughout the run, and making approved adjustments to maintain output and quality.
You will perform product changeovers and cleaning between runs, complete basic operator-level maintenance such as clearing jams and replacing consumable parts, and escalate mechanical issues to maintenance promptly with a clear description of the fault.
You will conduct in-process quality checks at required intervals, including weight, fill, seal, and visual inspection, record results accurately on production documentation, and hold or segregate non-conforming product according to procedure.
You will maintain a clean and organized work area to sanitation and housekeeping standards, follow all safety requirements including personal protective equipment and lockout/tagout, support material handling and staging as needed, and assist in training or guiding newer production associates on the line.
You will support production efficiency by anticipating material and component needs on your line, communicating shortages before they stop the run, and coordinating with warehouse and material handling colleagues. You will also participate in shift handover, passing on accurate information about equipment condition, quality issues, and open holds to the incoming operator.
Requirements
Prior production or manufacturing experience is required, at a level consistent with an experienced operator who can run equipment with limited supervision.
You must be able to follow written and verbal instructions precisely, complete production and quality documentation accurately, and maintain consistent attendance and punctuality across the assigned shift.
The role requires standing for extended periods, repetitive motion, and lifting up to fifty pounds. You must be comfortable in a production environment with noise, temperature variation, and moving equipment, and available onsite for the assigned shift including overtime or weekends as scheduled.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in food, beverage, or other regulated production is preferred, along with familiarity with GMPs, sanitation requirements, and allergen control practices.
Forklift or pallet jack certification is valued, as is experience with high-speed packaging equipment, exposure to lean or 5S practices, and any prior experience training or leading other operators. Bilingual English and Spanish capability is a plus.
Experience operating multiple equipment types or working across more than one production line is valued, as flexibility is genuinely useful on a shift. Familiarity with production reporting or ERP systems, prior participation in continuous improvement activity, and a strong safety record with no lost-time incidents are all viewed favorably.
Compensation and Benefits
This engagement pays an hourly rate in the range of $28.00 to $30.00, based on experience, across a three-month contract with a defined end date.
You will work within an established production operation with clear standards and an experienced team, gaining transferable manufacturing experience. The defined engagement length supports personal planning, and extension or conversion may be possible depending on performance and continued need.
This is a contract engagement placed through our recruiting team. We work closely with our contract professionals throughout the assignment, from onboarding and first-week check-ins through to end-of-contract planning, and we actively look for the next opportunity for people who deliver well. Many of our contract placements lead to extensions, repeat assignments, or permanent conversion.
We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Reasonable accommodations are available during the application and interview process on request. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the engagement.
