2. Inventory Management & Control

  • Own inventory accuracy and integrity across all warehouse locations.
  • Establish and maintain processes that ensure accurate inventory movement, tracking, and reconciliation.
  • Lead cycle count programs, inventory audits, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory discrepancies and implement process improvements to reduce variances.
  • Develop controls that support inventory accountability and inventory accuracy targets.

3. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Develop, document, and maintain warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements that increase throughput and efficiency.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, slotting strategies, and material flow based on SKU velocity and operational demand.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.
  • Lead change management efforts related to process enhancements, warehouse layout improvements, and system implementations.

4. Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain warehouse performance dashboards and KPI reporting.
  • Measure and communicate operational performance through regular reporting to leadership.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including inventory accuracy, OTIF, miss-ships, productivity, labor efficiency, receiving performance, and order fulfillment metrics.
  • Utilize data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Support data-driven decision-making through meaningful reporting and operational insights.

5. Operational Performance & Inventory Ownership

  • Serve as the primary owner of inventory accuracy across the warehouse operation.
  • Establish controls and accountability measures that maintain inventory accuracy targets.
  • Monitor and communicate warehouse performance metrics and operational health indicators.
  • Present operational performance, trends, risks, and improvement plans to senior leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Partner with Finance, SIOP, Customer Experience, Manufacturing, Transportation, and IT to improve inventory visibility and operational execution.

6. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Warehouse Supervisors to provide systems support, reporting, training, and process improvements.
  • Act as the primary resource for warehouse technology, reporting, and inventory management best practices.
  • Collaborate with Transportation, SIOP, Customer Experience, Manufacturing, and Finance to improve service levels and operational effectiveness.
  • Support strategic initiatives that improve scalability, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.

What Success Looks Like

Within 90 Days

  • Successfully assess current warehouse systems, processes, and operational performance.
  • Establish and implement key warehouse KPIs and performance dashboards.
  • Develop baseline measurements for inventory accuracy, OTIF, miss-ships, productivity, receiving performance, and labor efficiency.

  • Establish a data-driven operating rhythm that enables leadership to proactively manage warehouse performance and inventory health.
  • Create sustainable operational controls that improve visibility, accountability, and execution across the warehouse operation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing warehouse systems, inventory control, process improvement, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience implementing, supporting, or optimizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) required.
