Job description

Overview of Position
We are seeking a Warehouse Manager for the 2nd shift (2:30pm to 11;00pm) at our new Hagerstown Distribution Center. In this role, you will oversee all facility operations, including shipping, receiving, storage, packing, product safety, inventory control, merchandise coordination, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and support warehouse operations to maximize facility efficiency and cost-effectiveness across storage and distribution activities for raw materials, finished goods, tools, and packaging supplies.
  • Coordinate cross-shift and inter-departmental workflows to guarantee timely order dispatch and receipt in correct quantities.
  • Plan and schedule deliveries alongside shippers and customers, ensuring inbound freight is inspected for defects and order compliance.
  • Lead team staff by managing schedule alignment, target achievement, resource optimization, and overall work direction.
  • Oversee team member growth through continuous coaching, counseling, performance feedback, and annual reviews.
  • Identify operational improvements to enhance service speed and lower operational expenses.
  • Enforce safe operation of all machinery and warehouse equipment.
  • Analyze operational trends, resolve complex issues, and drive team motivation.
  • Utilize professional judgment and experience to establish and execute goals.
  • Perform additional operational duties as assigned.

Role Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience: 5-7 years managing distribution operations and customer service environments
  • Knowledge & Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred; proven capability to work independently in high-tempo settings.
  • Working Conditions: Active distribution facility environment requiring extended standing and walking across the warehouse floor, with occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 lbs.

Other Skills/Abilities: Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and effective problem-solving skills
