    • Description
      BASIC FUNCTION
      Under the general supervision of the Warehouse Lead / Supervisor or Manager, responsible for performing a variety of warehouse related duties associated with the receiving of product, and the load out of outbound shipments to customers, co-packer and stock transfer orders to other Sabert distribution locations while continually striving for improved customer satisfaction and service level performance.
      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
      • Ensures the appropriate use of safety devices and power industrial equipment. Good manufacturing practices and general housekeeping as well as awareness for hazardous conditions and practices.
      • Active participant in BBS safety audits.
      • Prepares orders and shipping documentation for outbound shipment in accordance with carrier pick-up schedule.
      • Adheres to Steritech guidelines that specifically address product handling / storage / conditions and warehouse housekeeping requirements.
      • Inspects trailers prior to load out to ensure conditions are in compliance with Steritech guidelines.
      • Handles stock in a careful and safe manner being conscious of quality and eliminating damage.
      • Executes all material / product put-away from Receiving and Manufacturing. Verifies product codes / descriptions and quantity against receiving documents. Notes and documents discrepancies and any observed damages.

      Such receipts are to be processed by the SU receiving process / manual creation of Put-Away labels.
      ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
      • Maintains a steady consistent work pace in assigned duties.
      • Communicates inventory related discrepancies to the Lead / Warehouse Mgr. / Sup. so that investigation and warranted adjustments can be made keeping the inventory as accurate as possible.
      • Accurate and consistent usage of warehouse management systems ( SAP ) relative to receiving / loading process.
      • Safe and efficient use of material handling equipment as well as charging and watering procedures to ensure maximization of battery charge / life.
      • Follows the warehouse outbound schedule that prioritizes carrier load out sequence.
      • Loads outbound shipments: LTL / TL and completes all paperwork associated with the load.
      • Unloads inbound shipments / receipts and completes all paperwork associated with the load.
      • Identify and communicates any issues / improvements associated with SAP system enhancements for "SU" Receiving process.
      • Verifies / ensures all BOL( s ) have proper " Product Safety Inspection " stamp.
      • Maintains workable knowledge of assigned staged orders on dock area.

      REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
      • A personal value system encompassing a strong work ethic, integrity, and stability.
      • Ability to read and understand the English language for the purpose of comparing and reading product descriptions, names and bin locations, as well as its numerical system with regards to unit of measure.
      • A team player with a co-operative style.
      • The ability to work in Sabert's culture, which is fast-paced and requires it's team members to be flexible with changing customer demands.
      • Is flexible with work assignment changes.
      • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
      • Ability to work independently or in a group setting.

      ENVIROMENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
      • Indoor work environment with both hot / humid or cold temperature changes based upon seasonal climate.
      • Will work around moving machinery such as powered industrial trucks.
      • Must wear steel toe shoes and other Personal Protection Equipment as specified by management personnel.
      • Extensive standing / walking while assigned to various warehouse operational task and assignments.
      • Heavy Work : Ability to continually lift / grasp / reach product weighing up to 50 pounds

      QUALIFICATIONS
      Education/ Experience
      • High school diploma or equivalent education and related experience.
      • Proficient math skills in units of measure, multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction.
      • Physical ability to perform essential functions of the job.
      • Attention to details: accurate and thorough.
      • Stable work history.
      • Ability to operate power industrial equipment : Reach truck / Order Selector / Sit down counterbalance / Standup counterbalance / Powered walkie jack.
      • 1- 2 years experience in a high volume fast moving distribution center with RF bar code scanning warehouse management systems.
      • Dependable team member who is flexible that can work overtime if necessary.

      Other
      • Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.
