JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Warehouse Loader

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Job Summary

The Warehouse Loader is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely loading and unloading of goods, ensuring warehouse operations are completed efficiently and in compliance with company standards. This role plays a vital part in the supply chain process, verifying shipments, maintaining organization in the warehouse, and supporting inventory control efforts. The Warehouse Loader must be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load and unload products from trucks, containers, and pallets using manual or powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks or forklifts).
  • Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, or packing lists.
  • Safely and accurately stack, organize, and stage products based on scheduled deliveries and warehouse layout.
  • Report any damaged or missing items to the Warehouse Manager immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment by following standard housekeeping and safety protocols.
  • Assist in daily, weekly, or monthly inventory counts and help identify discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with warehouse team and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals and ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment as needed (if certified).
  • Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and perform tasks involving physical labor, including standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Basic math and documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior warehouse, logistics, or material-handling experience.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or warehouse management software (WMS).
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures in warehouse settings.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to variable temperatures, dust, and noise.
