About the job Picker Packer
As a Picker/Packer, you will play a critical role in the fulfillment process by accurately selecting and packing merchandise for shipping to customers. Working in a mid to fast-paced environment, you will use handheld devices and picking equipment to locate, retrieve, items according to customer orders or store requirements. Your attention to detail, efficiency, and commitment to quality will ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Picking:
- Use handheld devices or picking lists to locate and select merchandise from designated storage locations within the warehouse.
- Navigate through aisles and storage racks to retrieve items efficiently, ensuring accuracy and completeness of each order.
- Verify product details, quantities, and quality before packing to ensure customer satisfaction.
2. Product Packaging:
- Pack merchandise securely and appropriately for shipping, using packaging materials such as boxes, bubble wrap, and packing materials.
- Label packages with shipping information, barcodes, and tracking numbers.
- Ensure that packages are sealed properly to prevent damage during transit.
3. Quality Control:
- Inspect merchandise for any defects, damages, or discrepancies before packing, and report any issues to supervisors.
- Follow quality control procedures to maintain high standards of product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Handle items with care to prevent breakage or damage during packing and shipping.
4. Inventory Management:
