This structured program provides hands-on training across multiple logistics functions and prepares you for future leadership roles within Penske Logistics.

Our Program:
This position is an excellent opportunity for candidates who want to gain valuable experience to launch their career with Penske. Our comprehensive training program equips you with the skills needed for key tasks such as selection, loading/unloading of trailers, cross-docking, and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company services and cost objectives. Through hands-on experience will learn to properly plan work assignments to ensure effective use of warehouse equipment. Upon graduation from the program, you'll be prepared to lead a small group of hourly associates in a distribution center management operation.
โ€ข Ensure that all associates are motivated, engaged, trained and competent and understand how their work relates to the customers' business objectives.
โ€ข Foster a safe work environment by complying with and administering established safety and operational procedures.
โ€ข Understand the location-specific customer goals & objectives and work to meet and exceed these expectations daily
โ€ข Effectively resolve issues and monitor day-to-day operations for compliance using organizational and time management skills.
โ€ข Develop a through working knowledge of the site's operating systems to ensure compliance and exception resolution.
โ€ข Learn the Kaizen methodology and implement Lean processes.
โ€ข Analyze and apply basic principles of inventory management, receiving goods, storage of goods and shipping goods from a warehouse environment.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
โ€ข Willing to relocate based on business needs or upon completion of Logistics Trainee program.
โ€ข Bachelor's Degree required - In Business, Supply Chain, Data Science/Analytics or related field is a plus.
โ€ข Demonstrated leadership through school, your community, clubs/organizations, or the military
โ€ข Authorized to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor individuals for employment visa for these positions.
โ€ข Internship or related work experience in a customer-facing role preferred.
โ€ข Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
โ€ข Ability to learn and navigate various technology platforms.
โ€ข Committed to learning and growing; receptive to feedback and developing self-awareness.
โ€ข High level of commitment to operation and job responsibilities.
โ€ข Results oriented, attention to detail and effective time management and organizational skills.
