Job description

Shift: Mom thru Fri 8-5

Job Summary:
The Fruit Inspector is responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and evaluating incoming, in-process, and outgoing fruit products to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout warehouse operations. This role works closely with warehouse, quality, and operations teams to maintain product integrity, food safety, and efficient workflow processes. Candidates with stable warehouse experience and a strong attention to detail are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual inspections on incoming and outgoing fruit products for quality, freshness, damage, defects, and overall condition
  • Monitor product quality and identify issues related to ripeness, appearance, packaging, or shelf life
  • Document inspection findings and communicate quality concerns to supervisors and operations teams
  • Verify product counts, labels, and shipment accuracy
  • Support inventory control and assist with stock rotation practices (FIFO)
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures, GMP, sanitation, and food safety guidelines
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of products as needed
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas within warehouse standards
  • Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to maintain productivity and quality expectations

Qualifications:

  • Previous warehouse, receiving, shipping, inventory, or quality inspection experience preferred
  • Stable work history with demonstrated warehouse longevity preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product quality concerns
  • Experience with inventory systems, scanners, tablets, or basic computer systems is a plus
  • Ability to accurately complete documentation and records-Using WMS and Excel
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in refrigerated environments and fast-paced warehouse settings
  • Flexible schedule availability including overtime and weekends if needed
