Job description

About Our Company:

ShipIt is a fast-growing third-party logistics provider dedicated to helping e-commerce businesses succeed through superior supply chain management. We offer services such as warehousing, order fulfillment, shipping, and distribution that save our clients money, time, and heartache. While we move millions of orders a year, we never treat our team members like a number. We know our success depends entirely on the people who show up every day ready to do great work, which is why we’re just as committed to your personal and professional growth as we are to our own.

Position Overview:

The Labeling Specialist keeps our warehouse moving by hand-labeling pre-packed orders and ensuring they are ready for shipment each day. This is a fast-paced, physical role that requires strong attention to detail, as you are the final step in ensuring every package looks professional and is sent to the correct carrier.

In this role, you'll verify batches, inspect box seals, apply labels with precision, and keep an organized workstation. Success means accurately labeling, sorting, and documenting every shipment while maintaining speed, quality, and efficiency throughout the day.

What You’ll Do

  • Receive daily label batches and verify that the shipping labels match the specific pre-packed pallets before applying them.

  • Remove plastic wrapping from pallets, inspect every box to ensure it is properly sealed, and hand-label each order with straight, centered alignment.

  • Sort labeled orders accurately, place shipments into Gaylord containers, and properly stack and wrap orders.

  • Log your production times for each batch and count any remaining boxes to update our digital pre-pack tracker.

  • Keep your workstation fully stocked with supplies and coordinate with warehouse associates when inventory runs low.

  • Clean and reset your shipping line and station at the start and end of every shift.

  • Participate in brief daily team drills, attend staff meetings, and submit your daily production metrics on time.

Skills We’re Looking For

  • Physical stamina: You must be at least 16 years old, able to stand for an 8-hour shift, and comfortably lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

  • Detail-oriented: You notice when a box is poorly sealed or a label is crooked, and you fix it on the spot.

  • Reliability: You show up on time, manage your daily workload independently, and take accountability for your station's output.

  • Adaptability: You can stay calm and focused when order volumes spike and are comfortable adjusting to changing daily priorities.

  • Basic tech skills: You can comfortably navigate a computer to input tracking data and print shipping labels when necessary.

  • Coachability: You take direction well, listen actively, and are willing to participate in daily training to improve your workflow.

Why You’ll Love Working with Us

  • 401(k) with a 6% employer match

  • 9 paid holidays with additional accrued paid time off

  • Maternity and paternity leave

  • Dental and vision insurance

  • Health Savings Account (HSA)

  • Health Share Program

  • Minimum Essential Coverage

  • Paid service days

  • Complimentary monthly supply of Balance of Nature supplements

Pay: $15 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: Lexington, KY
