Description
The Inventory Control Tech III serves as a team leader, responsible for supervising daily warehouse operations, managing inventory accuracy initiatives, and enforcing SOP compliance. This role requires strong leadership skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to train and certify others in inventory and safety procedures. The Inventory Control Tech III supports outbound logistics and plays a key role in cultivating a high-performance inventory team.
Requirements
• Receive and unload items from delivery trucks in a timely and organized manner.
• Document received items using inventory platforms such as Monday Boards.
• Store finished goods and packaging material in a clean, orderly fashion.
• Deliver materials to workstations and storage points both physically and via digital systems.
• Pull and stage packaging material for Resupply Requests or Jobs with a high degree of accuracy.
• Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
• Relocate inventory and assist with cleanups and general warehouse maintenance.
• Safely operate material handling equipment (MHE), including forklifts and pallet jacks (manual/electric).
• Maintain transaction rigor to minimize inventory discrepancies (target: ≤1 error/day).
• Adhere to compliance procedures as required by state regulations.
• Follow all SOPs, operational guidelines, and verbal directives.
• Maintain professionalism and a positive team-oriented attitude.
• Seek guidance from senior team members and escalate discrepancies as needed.
• Guide and mentor junior team members in task execution and warehouse best practices.
• Train new inventory staff and serve as a resource for troubleshooting.
• Act as liaison during on-site supplier visits, assisting with deliveries and pickups.
• Assist in leading day-to-day warehouse operations.
• Be eligible and maintain qualifications to be insured as a driver for company vehicles.
• Conduct local deliveries and pickups using company-owned box trucks or freightliners.
• Help enforce safety procedures, inventory handling policies, and transaction integrity standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and communicate suggestions to the Inventory Manager.
• Maintain a professional demeanor, modeling company values and expectations.
• Serve as acting team lead during assigned shifts-delegating tasks, monitoring workflow, and escalating issues.
• Lead cycle counts and internal audits, ensuring at least 95% count and audit accuracy.
• Train and certify team members in the safe use of forklifts and MHE as a certified "Train the Trainer."
• Coordinate outbound shipping, including freight quotes, bookings, and documentation.
• Support the Inventory Manager in enforcing SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Foster a culture of safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship and promote accountability and operational excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
    • Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
    • Ability to work in various environmental conditions (hot, humid, low light).
    • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
    • Must wear personal protective gear as required.
    • Frequent use of MHE and physical support of warehouse functions.
